Brief Update: Little Change with Isaac Thoughts

Just a quick look at the information on Isaac and not much has changed in my thoughts. A hurricane hunter has finished this morning's investigation into Isaac and has found a minimum pressure down to 1000 mb and and overall better organized system than yesterday. His center is a bit further than expected but a track more northwesterly has been noted and winds are up to 60 mph. I still don't anticipate rapid development and Isaac likely won't be a hurricane until it reenters the waters of the Florida Straits on Sunday after being over Cuba for nearly 24 hours. I have included an image loop the satellite of Isaac and the current model track spreads from the different major hurricane models. I will provide more detailed information and a forecast update later this afternoon. Plus, don't forget to join me at 8:30pm CDT, Friday evening, for a live weather briefing concerning Isaac.
