But Increase for Friday, Then We Await the Return of Heat
Things appear a bit less active for Thursday across the Tennessee Valley but it is still going to remain very steamy and tropical feeling. As the heat builds during the day, a few scattered thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours but I am not anticipating widespread storm activity. Where storms do develop, be aware they could produce some very gusty winds.
Another impulse of energy heads our way for Friday and that increases the threat for rains and t-storms, again. Then for Saturday, a front that is passing through the Valley, will begin to lift northward as a warm front. This will keep the chances for scattered afternoon thunderstorms in the forecast.
The chances for storms begins to gradually lower starting on Sunday and at the same time the heat begins to return. Mid and upper 90s are possible again by the start of the next work week.
