North Alabama/Southern Tennessee Forecast (October 2, 2011)

Chill Easing and a Quiet, Comfortable Week Ahead

Portions of the Tennessee Valley were some of the coolest in the nation this morning as temperatures dipped into the 30s for many locations.

Even some spotty frost was noted. Here were some of this morning's low temperatures:
Decatur (Pryor Field) 39
Huntsville Int'l Airport 39
Muscle Shoals 41
Courtland 40
Crossville 39
Cullman 40
Guntersville 48
Russellville 35
Scottsboro 36
Valley Head 36
Albertville 45
Ft. Payne 37
Meridianville 36
Tonight will be chilly again but not as chilly as this morning with lows dipping into the low 40s for most. That will mark the start of a warm-up that will continue through midweek. We could see some minor cooling again towards the weekend as a cooler high pressure system noses its way into the Valley.
