A strong cold front will be arriving into the Mid-Mississippi River Valley on Wednesday. It will be noticed by the arriving welcomed rainfall with some embedded thunderstorms. Best rain chances will be in the afternoon hours continuing into early Thursday.
Behind the front, it will be breezy and cooler. Temperatures on Thursday will struggle to make it into the low 70s and that will only occur if the clouds break up and clear out in enough time. The winds on Friday will be gusty and that will add to a chilly feel.
Staying breezy on Friday but lots of sunshine. The sunshine will prevail through the weekend and only a few clouds expected to start next week. The next front will arrive towards the middle of next week.
