Weather Models Show Possible SE Snow

The turn to colder is well on its way, now. Attention is now turning to a Clipper system that will drop southeast into the Dakotas tonight and continue southeastward on Friday. Light accumulating snow will occur on Friday across the Dakotas, NE, MN and IA.

Friday night into early Saturday morning, the Clipper will intensify across eastern IA. The center of the Clipper will be near Buffalo, NY by midnight Sunday. As it moves from IA to NY it will bring light snow across much of the Mid-MS/OH Valleys.

Question is will it also snow in the TN Valley? We have seen similar solutions shown a couple of times earlier this winter and little if anything occurred. My believe is that a few snow showers and flurries may occur Saturday evening into early Sunday morning for those of you as far south as the TN river but accumulation is not expected. The bulk of the accumulating snow will be confined along and north of the I-80 corridor, where it has been most of the winter.

Great map! If I give you credit, is it okay if I use one on my blog?
